Martha Ferguson earned her MFA in Metals and Jewelry from Miami University in Oxford, OH, and her BFA in Metals and Jewelry from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, GA. Since 1992 Martha has been an active artist in the field of metalsmithing creating jewelry, small sculpture, and containers. One of her pieces was selected for the book The Metalsmiths Book of Boxes and Lockets by Tim McCreight. Martha has over 10 years experience as an educator in her field. Her work has been shown nationally in both invitational exhibitions and galleries, and has been sold to individuals all over the country. She is currently represented by Asher Gallery in the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft.

Martha Ferguson joined the faculty of HCC-SW in 2010, where she teaches Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design at the Southwest - Stafford campus.
