The Houston Community College Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program has provided EMS education to thousands of students since 1982. The EMS Program is one of the most recognized and qualified programs in the state of Texas as it relates to pre-hospital education.

The two-year AAS Degree Emergency Medical Services Program is designed to prepare individuals as competent, entry-level pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services Practitioners. The HCCS EMS Program is Nationally accredited by;

Program Goals-Minimum Expecations

To prepare competent entry-level Paramedics in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and effective (behavior) learning domains with or without exit points at the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and/or Emergency Medical Technician, and/or Emergency Medical Responder levels.
