The Geography Program at Houston Community College seeks to develop and broaden student understandings of the Earth's diverse cultural and physical environments and the complex interactions that exist between them. As our planet has become increasingly interconnected, so has the importance and value of possessing a spatial perspective, which provides a basis for understanding physical and cultural processes as well as relationships between peoples and their environments at a variety of scales. Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge, analyze information, and develop critical thinking skills while becoming better informed citizens of the world.
