Mission

The Health Information Technology program of HCC will prepares students for the Health Information Technology and Management profession by providing state of the art relevant training with emphasis on health data content and structure, database management, and electronic health records. In addition, we are committed to maintaining curriculum and student performance standards for each course that are consistent the CAHIIM accreditation and its purpose for the student population it serves.

Program Student Learning Objectives

After completing any course in the HITT program, students will be able to:

  1. Prepare students to be Health Information Management professionals as defined by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) with passing of RHIT exam.

  2. Articulate appreciation for health information through practicing ROI.

  3. Work collaboratively with classmates by developing an Electronic survey.

  4. Gain exposure to ICD10 and sit for CCA exams.
