For your research paper, you will need to write an annotated bibliography. An annotated bibliography is a citation listing with a summary and evaluation of the text you are reviewing.
You need to review 10 separate, reliable texts. Each text should be in alphabetical order on a separate page and provide the following answers (a minimum of 10 pages). Each source should be a source from the HCCS database, a book, or a peer-reviewed journal. For more information on evaluating sources, refer to LBH pages 590-604:

Every Page (including Page 1):
Step One:
List the MLA citation of the text (double-spaced, hanging indent; one-inch borders).
Step Two:
1. Provide a one paragraph summary of the text. (minimum 3 sentences)
Step Three:
Provide a complete evaluation of the text using complete and explanatory sentences:
2. Is it reliable (why/why not)?
3. Does the age of the text matter (why/why not)?
4. Is it objective, biased, or subjective (why/why not)?
Step Four:
Provide a reflection of the text with an explanation:
5. How might you use this text in your essay?
6. Has it changed your opinion about your working thesis (why/why not)?
When you complete your 1500 word essay, you will only need to use a minimum of 4 of these 10 sources. There will be a minimum of 8 parenthetical citations in your Research Paper and 4 works cited. Some parenthetical citations will be from the same texts.
Oral Presentation: April 18 and April 20

Select one source and explain to the class why it is a reliable and valuable source for your research
