Calculator Policy

The following statement should be added to your syllabus.

The use of scientific calculators without computer algebra systems is permitted for exams in this course.  The use of graphing calculators without computer algebra systems is permitted for exams in this course.  No calculator with a computer algebra system may be utilized for exams in this course.  No computing device of any kind may be used for exams in this course.  This includes, but is not limited to, laptops, tablets, smart phones, etc.  No device with internet access may be used for exams in this course.  Examples of calculators that are approved include Victor 930-2, TI-30XS, TI-30X II S, TI-83, and TI-84.  Examples of calculators that are not allowed, include but are not limited to, TI-89, TI-89 Titanium, TI-Inspire CX, and TI-Inspire CX CAS.
