Lean Manufacturing (INMT 1370)

This course will explore the science and practice of lean tools and methodologies, with an emphasis on applied training to pursue a certification. To evaluate various approaches to the dynamics of Lean, we will study lean as it is played out in modern organizations and in each student’s life. At the end of the course, students are expected to: understand the scientific study of lean and be able to identify different lean concepts; synthesize ideas into meaningful models that can be applied in organizational settings; and critically evaluate/develop their own leadership potential and philosophy.
