Textbook: the Norton Reader

Norton Reader (14th Edition)

Our textbook for this class is The Norton Reader, 14th ed. While you can find copies of our readings up here on the Learning Web, keep in mind that you will not be able to use electronic versions of the essays during the Midterm & Final. You may also find it useful to have this book because of the many essays it contains that won't be covered in class, which you can possibly use for Paper #3. (NOTE: This book does not contain the essays "Body Rituals Among the Nacirema" or "Deindividuation," the 3 Edgar Allan Poe poems, or "Let America Be America Again" by Langston Hughes.)

This book can be bought or rented (new or used) from the HCC bookstore. If you buy it online, make sure you don't accidentally get the abridged version, which does not contain all of the essays.
