Microbiology Lecture Course (BIOL 2320)

This is Microbiology Lecture course at HCC.
The objective of this course is to give health sciences students a knowledge of
morphology, physiology and taxonomy of representative groups of pathogenic
and non-pathogenic microorganisms. It also includes a brief review of food
microbes, public health and immunology.

You must purchase the required textbook and obtain access code for Pearson
Mastering in order to complete
mandatory assignments. 
HCC Eagle Online CANVAS Learning Management System (eagleonline.hccs.edu)
will be used for communication and to deliver study tools.
For online course, you will study using the textbook and tools provided in CANVAS.
Testing will be online and on-campus
at one of the designated HCC Testing Centers.
You will also take a mandatory departmental exam at the testing center at the end of
the semester.
The syllabus posted at this site is tentative and may have to be adjusted 
to reflect changes in Departmental policies. All updates will be posted in 
Eagle Online that 
will be available on the first day of the semester.
