Ballet II/III (DANC 1342/2341)

Instructor:

A beginning/intermediate level course that introduces the student to the concepts of classical ballet through practice of barre and center skills, the body positions, and movement combinations. The history of the development of ballet is presented through lecture and multimedia, and aesthetic principles of dance are explored through lecture and concert attendance. Students are expected to have taken ballet I and be familiar with basic ballet terms and technical execution.
