HIST 1302 is a survey of the social, political, economic, cultural, and intellectual History of the United States from the Civil War/Reconstruction period to the present-day era. United States History II includes the study of the Post Civil War, Industrial Supremacy, The Progressives Era, The Great Wars, The Great Depression, The New Deal, The Great Society, The Cold War, The Affluent Society, Turbulent Sixties and the Age of Globalization. Themes that may be addressed in United States History II include American settlement and diversity, American culture, religion, civil and human rights, technological change, economic change, immigration, migration, and creation of the federal government is a survey course of the basic principles underlying human behavior.
