Hello!

I am looking forward to this semester and to meeting you. We have a new textbook that has an awesome online companion website that we will be using every week for quizzes, assignments, and graded, in-class discussions. There are also 4 Major Assignments that I hope you will enjoy.

We will be meeting in Room TBA at the West Loop Campus Wednesdays Only, starting Wednesday, September 21, 2016-December 11, 2016. This is a twelve week course and there is a lot to do. You will have quizzes and assignments due every week of classes. The quizzes are short, but you have to do the required reading from the textbook and in EO-Canvas which is the online component of our class.

Required Textbook:
Lauer, Robert H. and Jeannette C. Lauer.  Social Problems and the Quality of Life: Thirteenth Edition. McGraw-Hill. ISBN 978-0-07-802686-7.
This is the book that you must have for this course. (If the title and author are correct, the book will be the correct one.) Do NOT let the bookstore try to sell you any other book! If they do, please contact me immediately. Thank you!
