It offers learners a broad base/interdisciplinary introduction to the great diversity of peoples, places and cultures of the world with strong focus on the arts, languages, social structures, cultural practices and religions. This interdisciplinary approach to learning cultures of the world will enhance learners’ ability to collaborate in international contexts and foster understanding. Furthermore, students will have the opportunity to explore countries’ values: social, political, economic, traditional and religious practices, which could ultimately lead to new discoveries of their own civic duties as global citizens. The main objective of this course is to prepare students for employment and civic duties as excellent global citizens in an interconnected world.
