An examination of the principals of non-linear editing. Students review fundamental editing concepts, select clips for editing and set up the computer. Students edit segments, create special effects, and mix audio for video. The completed digital master is then laid back to video tape/DVD & streaming on www.schooltube.com. This course involves extensive hands-on experience. Students will produce short form programs using story line editing including conceptualization and script writing for the purpose of creating individual short films in the fall and finally a groups short film for the Annual Hightower Media Academy Music Video & Short Film Showcase at First Colony AMC Theatre.
