SOCIAL PROBLEMS (SOCI 1306 62355)

This course will explore significant social problems in contemporary society. It will examine how these problems arise, how they interact with one another, and will also examine potential solutions. The course will also examine the role ideology plays in defining and shaping our response to these problems. It will also emphasize the importance of applying a holistic approach to understanding how social problems are inextricably inter-connected. We will also examine the principle of balance as it applies to understanding and solving social problems.
