SHPE and Cummins have partnered together to provide the opportunity for interns to participate in Cummins for Hispanic Advancement in STEM internSHPE program for Summer 2023.

Benefits for Progam Participants

  • Participate in a 10-12 week, paid internship at a Cummins site in the US;
  • Participate in a virtual orientation with Cummins and SHPE, prior to internship start date;
  • Receive ongoing coaching and mentorship from a Cummins mentor that starts before your internship;
  • Participate in various career development activities led to help prepare you for your internship and post-graduation careers;
  • Participants may be eligible to receive a renewable ScholarSHPE the academic year after the successful completion of the internship

REQUIREMENTS

Must Have

To be considered for a summer 2023 internship with Cummins, you must meet all of the following requirements. You must clearly indicate on your resume how you meet these criteria to be considered for a position.

  • A minimum 2.5 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
  • Undergraduate student with at least two semesters/terms of college remaining after Summer 2023.
  • Currently attending a community college OR currently attending a bachelor's program with credits previously completed at a community college
  • Working towards an associate or bachelor's degree in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering Technology
    • Electrical Engineering Technology
    • Manufacturing
    • Matieral Science Engineering
    • Computer Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Data Science
    • Information Technology
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Other Related Engineering and Technology majors
